I don’t know whether or not anyone gets their news about my writing here, but if you do, sorry that I never update the blog portion of this website! My book did get its first review recently, which was both thrilling and an honor. Please check it out at Plume Poetry. As a Metro Detroit local, I do want to point out that living in Detroit and living 5-6 miles outside of Detroit can be very different things. You kind of have to be from here to know that, though, and regardless, it’s amazing to get a positive review in an esteemed journal like Plume. Huge thanks to P.W. Bridgman! The most mind-blowing part might be that a review of my book is in the same issue as poems by giants like Kimiko Hahn and the current poet laureate (and one of my favorite writers) Arther Sze. It still doesn’t seem quite possible to me that this is real, but I’ll take it!
